El sábado 22 de agosto, en el Centro Cultural de España se llevó a cabo la ceremonia de premiación de todas las categorías en competencia dentro de la edición número 25 del Macabro. Festival Internacional de Cine de Horror, el cual durante doce días ofreció, en distintas sedes en los cuatro puntos cardinales de la Ciudad de México, una selección con obras recientes de dicho género provenientes de los cinco continentes.
Tras la ceremonia de premiación se proyectó el filme encargado de la clausura, el cual fue Remanente (Brasil, 2026) obra de corte fantástico dirigida por Kapel Furman.
