Parece que la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas de Hollywood ha decidido renovarse para atraer nuevas audiencias y para ello ha invitado a más de trescientas personalidades para unirse a ella y ser una de las que voten por los premios Oscar. Entre los invitados se encuentran actores como Daniel Radcliffe, Benedict Cumberbatch y Chris Pine, así como técnicos como el mexicano Martín Hernández o el director argentino Damián Szifron. También músicos como Joony Greenwood, miembro de Radiohead, y Trent Reznor.
Es de destacar que hay muchos extranjeros en la lista de invitados a ser parte de la Academia, si bien algunos repiten en diversas categorías, deberán escoger en cual van a participar.
